Feeding the Multitudes

This
Saturday at the bi-weekly ABC meeting the children were each
given a heavy sack filled with beans, flour, and sugar. It was
such a blessing to see the kids wait patiently for their turn to
get a bag and then to eagerly pick through the items inside with
huge eyes and big smiles. Some of the kids needed help carrying
the sacks home because they were so heavy.

We
also made some home visits to a couple of our ABC children.
Elisee (left) was one of them. He had sustained a skull fracture
and muscle contusion the week before after falling out of a
tree. Living up to his stubborn reputation, he refused to get
out of bed when we were there. As his mother and younger brother
escorted us down the road to go back home, we turned around to
see that Elisee was following close behind.
