A Word from Nathan

Hey everyone again, sorry for the delay. Brian and Lynne will be coming back on Thursday. I am extremely excited.  We have been pretty busy here; we just had a team from Boise, Idaho which was just really cool. We lunched at the Engage ministry for the teens, we also used them to do a couple outreaches, at 2 different colleges. It was really hard but everything was very well planned and executed. I have been going to schools and been able to teach them weekly, which has just really been amazing getting to know all them. I will be coming back home in August I think some time around then and I will get to see you all. God bless. -Nathan

Prayer Requests:

* Please pray for our last couple of months here in Rwanda. Pray that we will continue in God's will.

* Please continue to pray for the building project and for the "children's home." There are many children just within ABC that live on their own and need a home.

* Please pray for the several ABC children who are struggling in various situations that are detrimental to their well being.

ABC Ruhengeri Meets ABC Kimironko

This Saturday at the ABC meeting, the ten ABC children who live in the north-west region of Ruhengeri made their way down to Kimironko to attend their first ABC meeting at Christ Gospel Fellowship Church. The ten children, accompanied by Pastor Gabriel's wife, had an early morning start to take the three hour journey down the mountain. They were given goody bags with candy and a bracelet. Candy was a novelty to them...they even had to ask what it was!  We told them to try it, and their faces lit up as soon as they put it in their mouths.

Over the Hills and through the Woods

 This week, we traveled to Gitarama down in the southern part of Rwanda where four of the ABC children have moved to. It was a three hour ride in a crowded taxi-van on a bumpy dirt road, but the beauty of the hills and the joy of visiting the ABC children at their schools was well worth the journey.  After we visited Gilbert at his primary school we were accompanied by dozens of children back through the woods toward the secondary school where Diane is enrolled.

 A Surprise Visit

Our week was full of visitors!  Everywhere we went we were followed...to and from the church each day, from the schools we visited, and even right into our living room at lunchtime!  Our house is near one of the primary schools, and the kids often stop to peer over our fence, hoping to catch a glimpse of us.  This week they actually came through the gate and were peeking in our windows.  We invited them in and enjoyed watching their curiosity as they inspected our house!
