As more and more domestic and
international disasters occur, we must, as the
Body of Christ, be prepared to respond in any
way we can.
We now have all the
resources to set up a staging-area type camp
that would be used to house and feed teams in
the heart of a disaster. These teams would feed
and minister to the local and out-of-area public
safety personnel that are working the "front
lines". We also would feed and minister to the
local population affected by the disaster.
Initial
Response Team:
We are currently in the
process of developing a team of trained
individuals who would be part of a first
response team. This would include those with
backgrounds in police, fire fighter, military,
chaplaincy, general medicine and general
carpentry.
We have been able to build
a large network of people and churches from all
over the United States and from other countries
such as Japan, Cambodia, Africa, Wales and
Mexico. We have developed a data base of
information that we will use to keep people
informed as to the ongoing work and to any
future disaster response that should arise. The
initial goal for this follow up team will be to
set up a staging area or camp within a disaster
area that will provide living accommodations for
many volunteers that desire to respond. All
volunteers are welcome. Please fill out the
information at the bottom of the page if you are
interested in being part of this work.
Whether you are able to
travel or not, we can keep you informed on the
ongoing work. If you would like
to continue receiving updates on this work
please fill out the following information as
well and mark the "keep me in the loop" box.
