An
opportunity has arisen in the New Orleans area
for the Calvary Chapel Relief servants who were
involved in disaster relief on the Gulf Coast
after Hurricane Katrina. The ABC Television show
"Extreme Makeover:Home Edition" will be
rebuilding 2 structures for a special show about
the rebuilding effort post-Katrina. One of the
staff for the show attends a Calvary Chapel and
also served in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. He
had the idea to invite some of those folks who
also served to help out on the re-builds. Here
are the particulars:
What: "Extreme Makeover:Home Edition"
Where: New Orleans, Louisiana
When: Friday, March 7th through Friday, March
14th 2008
Transportation: Make your own arrangements for
the flight to New Orleans. Transportation from
the airport can be arranged group by group
through ABC TV
Lodging: Large tents provided by the National
Guard (Portable showers also provided)
Food: Provided by ABC Television
What You Need To Bring: Sleeping bag, clothing,
towel, rain gear, toiletries
I've got some of the blue CC Relief t-shirts
left over from BSL and will be bringing them.
This is a great opportunity to let the whole
country see see firsthand how God blessed the
Gulf Coast through his servants that responded
to the call.
